Tropical and temperate rainforests are found all over the world. The largest rainforest is the Amazon, and is spread across an area of 1.7 billion acres. The Amazon runs through Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana in South America.
Tropical rainforests can be found in parts of South America, Africa, southeast Asia, and Australia. Temperate rainforests can be found in parts of North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of northern Asia.
