1. Buying sustainable rainforest products- This means materials and ingredients that are found in common products used in your household. These have been sourced responsibly without causing significant damage to rainforests. Click here to see what certified products you can buy and where.

2. Travel Green - Ride your bike, walk, take public transport or carpool to school. This helps to reduce pollution and every little bit helps.

3. Avoid using products made with palm oil- Producing palm oil not only destroys trees

but also animal habitats.  Click here to find out what products have palm oil in them

4. Reduce, re-use and recycle - For example, think about how you use paper at home or at

school. When printing, print double sided, put excess paper in a scrap paper box to be

re-used by someone else. The less paper we use the better for our rainforests.

5. Ask your school to buy environmentally friendly paper and products.

6. Organise a fundraising event at your school to raise money for a charity whose aim

is to help the environment.

7. Contact an organisation that is working hard to protect the rainforest and tell them

that they are doing a great job.

8. Educate and encourage- Tell your parents and friends why rainforests are

important, and suggest ways that they can also help.
