Dear Forest Fighters,

                                   

                                    By now you should be well informed about rainforests. If you need to, consult your journal or the resources in this iQuest to refresh your memory. The importance of rainforests, the threats they face, and conservation initiatives are all important things to understand.

 

Armed with this knowledge, you can begin to make informed decisions about your actions in the home or school to minimise your impact on the environment. After all, we want this beautiful land to be enjoyed, not only by us, but by many future generations.

 

Your challenge now is to create a resource for your schoolmates that motivates them to make responsible decisions about their impact on the environment. Make sure your audience knows: Why rainforests are important? What are the problems they face? How can they help? 

 

This could be in the form of a news report, video, play or perhaps a computer program. The choice is yours. Discuss your ideas with your teacher.
